Manchester City return to action with a Premier League clash against Everton on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues are unbeaten in seven games having shown a marked improvement in results and performances prior to the October international break.
City will hope to maintain the momentum against David Moyes' side but will have to do so without Rodri. The talismanic Spaniard remains sidelined having been withdrawn against Brentford last time out with a hamstring injury.
The 29-year-old pulled out of international duty with Spain but had hoped to be fit for the visit of the Toffees. However, he has yet to return to training and won't feature at the Etihad.
Abdukodir Khusanov is also out injured while City have doubts over Omar Marmoush and Rayan Ait-Nouri despite both returning to training.
Everton are also missing several players for the encounter. Jarrad Branthwaite is back in training along with Merlin Rohl ahead of the trip to City but the contest could come too soon for either to be involved from the start. Nathan Patterson is sidelined and will miss the encounter.
“We’ve got a few people. We’re got Jarrad back on the grass, we’ve got Merlin back on the grass, but unfortunately Patto (Nathan Patterson) picked up an injury in the Under-21s game in midweek," said Moyes.
“So, we’ve got bits and pieces going on. But all the clubs will be the same, everyone is coming back from international duty, trying to get their players back and ready, and find out what condition they’re in, so, we’re no different than anyone else.”
