Everything you need to know about player injuries and team selection issues as Arsenal prepare to play host to Brentford in the Premier League...
- Arsenal to face Brentford: Arsenal will play host to Brentford in the Premier League on Wednesday evening at the Emirates Stadium. Kick-off is slated for 7.30pm.
- William Saliba doubt: William Saliba missed Arsenal's encounter with Chelsea at the weekend as a result of a training-ground knock, and his availability to take on Brentford is also in doubt. When asked about the Frenchman, Arteta said: "I am not going to be able to help you much today as we have another training session. He had a little niggle but I think it's going to be a matter of days."
- Leandro Trossard touch and go: Leandro Trossard could also miss the match after picking up a calf problem during Arsenal's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich last week. Arteta also recently explained that the Belgian is a "matter of days" away from a return.
- A 'matter of weeks' for Kai Havertz: Kai Havertz has been unable to play since minor knee surgery in August, and the German attacking-midfielder is not expected to be fit to play against the Bees.
- Gabriel ruled out: Gabriel is currently sidelined with a thigh injury, and is not expected to return to the field of play until later this month. On the Brazilian, Arteta said: "He's doing very well but that's weeks as well."
- Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Odegaard boosts: Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Odegaard are expected to play a part in Wednesday's clash, after recovering from respective injuries of their own. Read the full story here.
- Expected changes: As a result of injury to his first-choice centre-half pairing, Mikel Arteta may opt to field Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera together once more. With Gyokeres back to fitness, he will also likely be deployed to lead the line instead of Mikel Merino. Should Trossard fail to make it into the starting XI, Gabriel Martinelli could be played from the outset on the left. Odegaard could also slot into the middle of the park alongside Declan Rice.
- Next up for Arsenal: After Wednesday evening's clash with Brentford, the Gunners are set to face Aston Villa away from home come Saturday, December 6. A Champions League fixture with Club Brugge then ensues next Wednesday, before Arsenal play host to Wolves on Saturday, December 13.
