Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has tied the knot with his partner Evaluna Rodríguez.
Bajcetic, who's still nursing a hamstring injury, arrived at the Reds from Celta Vigo in February 2021 and is capable of operating in central midfield or at the back. His journey at Liverpool has been meteoric, progressing from making his U18 debut as an U16 player in 2020-21 to featuring for the senior side as a 17-year-old in August 2022.
But Bajcetic has just reached a joyous milestone in his private life, sharing on Thursday that he and Rodriguez got married. A collection of photographs was accompanied by the caption "06.07.2025" in their joint Instagram post as the pair marked their special wedding celebration. One image displayed their intertwined hands, adorned with their wedding bands.
Additional photographs revealed the breathtaking interior of their wedding location, featuring white and soft blue floral arrangements alongside a sophisticated dining table arrangement. A monochrome shot of the couple sharing a kiss was also posted by the Reds star.
Bajcetic donned a white blazer and shirt, paired with black trousers and a black bow tie. His bride looked radiant in an exquisite white gown, complete with an extended train. Well-wishes poured in for the newlyweds following their announcement.
Curtis Jones' girlfriend Saffie Khan penned "congratulations" whilst Alexis Mac Allister's wife contributed "yess" alongside a heart emoji.
Liverpool fans also shared congratulatory messages, with one commenting, "Looking forward to seeing more photos," and another declaring, "Congratulations to the couple," while adding a heart emoji.
The pair got engaged on Christmas Eve in December 2024, with Bajcetic sharing a video of the emotional proposal where he got down on one knee. Following their nuptials, the 20-year-old expressed his love for his wife on social media: "Happy Anniversary to the love of my life. For what we live for and what awaits us. love you luna."
His transfer from Celta Vigo was swift. Upon learning of Liverpool's interest, he was instructed, "You need to pack, you go tomorrow." Shortly after arriving in Merseyside, Bajcetic, then just 16, contracted coronavirus and had to isolate in a hotel. During this period, he spoke about his girlfriend in an interview for the club website, saying, "It was obviously tough to be isolated but I was calm.
"I had my family. Even though they were in Spain, I would call them. I had my girlfriend as well. It was good just watching series on Netflix!"
The following two years marked significant progress in Bajcetic's career. He made 19 appearances for the senior team before an injury in March 2023 sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
After a long-term injury kept him sidelined for most of the 2023/24 season, Stefan Bajcetic made a comeback during the final weeks of Jürgen Klopp's tenure. He then spent time on loan with Red Bull Salzburg in Austria and Spanish side Las Palmas during the 2024/25 campaign.
Now, after nearly 18 months without a Liverpool appearance, Bajcetic is gearing up to return to the pitch. Following a hamstring surgery in May, he has been diligently working towards regaining his full fitness.
Despite interest from numerous clubs, Liverpool decided against sending Bajcetic out on loan this summer, choosing instead to focus on his recovery. Bajcetic has been steadily increasing his rehabilitation efforts and has been seen on the pitch during first-team training sessions doing individual work, although he has yet to participate in full training.
