Thiago Alcantara scored and delivered a man of the match performance as Liverpool drew with Borussia Dortmund in a charity game at Anfield on Saturday

Steven Gerrard said that it was a "pleasure" to play alongside Thiago Alcantara in the Liverpool legends game against Borussia Dortmund at Anfield.
Thiago netted the opening goal of the game as he ran on to a though ball before dinking an impudent finish over the onrushing Dortmund 'keeper in the first half.
The Spaniard went on to claim the man of the match award, and Gerrard said that it was fully deserved.
"It is easy to play with outstanding players. They are on the same wavelength. You know what each other are going to do," Gerrard said.

It was a pleasure. The respect is mutual. It was nice to link up with a bit of quality. A deserved man of the match."
Reflecting on his finish, Thiago said: "It was an unbelievable moment for sure and I'll keep it with me. When I scored, Stevie [Gerrard] came and I told him it was the first sprinting I did since I arrived at Liverpool!
"Having 62,000 people was just unbelievable. We feel home every time we are here."

Meanwhile, Gerrard admitted there were some frustrating moments in the game due to his body not being able to do what it used to be capable of.
"The brain still works at the same speed but the body is a few seconds behind," Gerrard said. "There were a few frustrating moments.
"The legs don’t work the same as they did 10 to 15 years ago. I come here for the supporters and to give a bit back to great causes.
"It is a fantastic buzz. You can’t wait to get back together with the lads. 60,000 fans today, no other club in the world does that."
