Steven Gerrard said that Liverpool is in an an 'unacceptable' moment after the Reds were thrashed at home by PSV Eindhoven.
The game was level at 1-1 at half-time, but PSV scored three times without reply after the break, taking advantage of some lax Liverpool defending for all of the goals.
Liverpool has now lost nine of its last 12 games in all competitions, and Gerrard said: "It isn't acceptable. Liverpool is wide open in transition, looks very vulnerable and is conceding too many goals.
"The seats were empty with 10 minutes to go. PSV deserved the victory. Liverpool's problems become deeper and the pressure intensifies even more.
"When you concede the second, panic sets in, the crowd gets edgy and you try to get the equalizer. And Liverpool should have got it when Cody Gakpo misses.
"You gamble more and it leaves you more open in behind.
"The substitution of Konate was huge. It tells a story. The back four Liverpool finished with - Jones, Gravenberch, Van Dijk, Kerkez - that isn't a Liverpool back four and never will be."
