The latest Manchester City news as Pep Guardiola's side travel to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they return to Premier League duty.
It's a quick turnaround for Manchester City following their involvement in midweek Champions League action.
Pep Guardiola's side hosted Napoli at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday night in the first outing in the competition this season. Second-half goals from Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku saw them come out as 2-0 winners, with the Italian champions being reduced to 10 men in the first half.
Just three days later, City are back in Premier League action as they take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. City will be looking to build on a morale-boosting 3-0 win over rivals Manchester United last weekend.
Ahead of the match, they have been given a boost with the potential availability of defender John Stones, who could return from injury.
Here's the latest from the City treatment ahead of the journey to north London;
John Stones
Injury: Unspecified
The England centre-back had been training for Thursday night's Champions League clash vs Napoli, but he wasn't included in the squad for the game. He withdrew from the England squad with mild discomfort earlier this month and has not been a part of the last two City games.
Potential return date: September 21 vs Arsenal (A)
Rayan Cherki
Injury: Thigh
The forward is expected to miss around two months due to a thigh injury. France's official social media account confirmed that he has a quadriceps tear.
Predicted return date: October 26 vs Aston Villa (A)
Omar Marmoush
Injury: Knee
He picked up the injury during September's international break, representing Egypt in their goalless draw against Burkina Faso. But the injury is not as bad as first feared.
What Guardiola has said: "We have to make the last tests. A few weeks. Before the next international break, he will be ready."
Predicted return date: October 5 vs Brentford (A)
Mateo Kovacic
Injury: Achilles
The midfielder had an operation on an Achilles injury shortly before the season finished. He's expected to be back sometime next month.
Predicted return date: October 18 vs Everton (H)
Rayan Ait-Nouri
Injury: Ankle
The early stages of the player's debut against Tottenham saw him pick up an ankle injury which, in turn, forced him to withdraw from the Algeria squad over the international break. He has missed the last two games against United and Napoli.
Potential return date: September 21 vs Arsenal (A)
Kalvin Phillips
Injury: Achilles
The midfielder underwent surgery on an Achilles injury back in May. He could now be closing in on fitness, though he's yet to feature for City so far this season.
Return date: TBC
