Supercomputer predicts how likely Tottenham are to beat Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League

Opta’s supercomputer has revealed how likely Tottenham are to maintain their perfect home record in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund.

Spurs return to Champions League action tomorrow, which in one sense comes as a welcome distraction from their horrid Premier League form.

There is a lot of uncertainty around the club, with reports indicating that Tottenham are considering parting ways with Thomas Frank.

However, it has been revealed that Frank will take charge of Spurs against Dortmund, with a decision over his future only likely to be taken after tomorrow’s fixture.

How likely are Tottenham to beat Borussia Dortmund?

Spurs have won all three of their home games in the Champions League this term against Villarreal, Copenhagen and Slavia Prague.

That, along with their two draws away from home against Monaco and Bodo/Glimt, means that the Lilywhites sit on 11 points after their six matches.

Opta’s Supercomputer has now given Tottenham a 37.7 per cent chance of beating Dortmund and making it four wins at home in four European fixtures this season.

The Bundesliga side have been given a 36.7 per cent chance of winning, suggesting that Opta find the game too close to call. The supercomputer has given a 25.6 per cent chance for the points behind being shared between the sides.

Spurs’ home form is ridiculously good in Europe

Tottenham were shocking at home in the Premier League across 2025, and their struggles have continued at the start of this year.

However, it has been a completely different case in European competitions, with Spurs being invincible at home in Europe for almost six years.

The last time the Spurs lost at home in Europe was in a Champions League round of 16 tie in 2020 against RB Leipzig when Jose Mourinho was still in charge.
