Supercomputer predicts how likely Tottenham are to beat West Ham in the Premier League

1 hour ago 24

Opta’s Supercomputer has predicted the likelihood of Tottenham Hotspur returning to winning ways in the London derby against West Ham.

Things continue to go from bad to worse for Thomas Frank’s men, who crashed out of the FA Cup in the third round last Saturday.

That result followed another dramatic late loss against Bournemouth in the Premier League, which has left the Lilywhites sitting in 14th place in the table.

Tottenham Hotspur are currently six points behind the top five, and they have a big London derby coming on Saturday. A win could see them spark a new run of form. A defeat will leave boos ringing in the ears of Frank and co.

Opta says Tottenham are massive favourites against West Ham

West Ham are sitting in the relegation zone, and Tottenham’s London rivals are going through even more turmoil than the Lilywhites are.

Opta’s Supercomputer is backing the North Londoners to get their first home win of 2026 on Saturday, giving Frank’s men a 60.6 per cent chance of getting all three points.

The Hammers have been given an 18.7 per cent chance of consigning Spurs to another defeat, while a draw is given a 20.7 per cent chance.

A must-win game for Spurs and Thomas Frank

Frank has insisted that he continues to feel the backing of the Tottenham board, although the results are going from bad to worse.

However, the 52-year-old would be aware that nothing other than three points will do against a struggling West Ham side.

One dreads to think what the reaction will be at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if Spurs fail to beat their London rivals. Such a result could perhaps leave the club with little choice but to seriously consider a managerial change in the midst of the January window.
