Supercomputer predicts Tottenham’s relegation chances after Fulham defeat

Opta’s Supercomputer has calculated how likely Tottenham Hotspur are to go down this season after their latest loss against Fulham.

There was little in Tottenham’s performance against Fulham to make any Spurs fan confident that the team has too much quality to go down.

The Lilywhites were second best all over the pitch for large parts of the game, with Igor Tudor admitting that his side were outplayed by Fulham.

Tottenham now have just 10 league games to save their Premier League status, but their supporters will take heart from what Opta have just revealed.

Premier League Trophy Tottenham

Supercomputer says Tottenham are overwhelming favourites to stay up

Spurs are the only team in the Premier League still waiting for their first win in 2026, but according to Opta, the North Londoners are still major favourites to stay up.

The data analysis platform gives Tottenham just a 5.02 per cent chance of going down, which means that they are 95 per cent likely to avoid relegation.

Opta say that West Ham are the favourites for the final relegation spot, giving them a 69.38 per cent chance of being in the bottom three, while Nottingham Forest are the second most likely at 25 per cent.

Spurs may have one advantage over Forest and West Ham

5 per cent seems like a huge underestimation of Tottenham’s relegation chances, given that they are just four points off West Ham and look like they cannot buy a win.

However, Spurs know that they have some quality to come into the side over the coming months, given their bloated injury list.

Additionally, according to Opta, Tottenham have a significantly easier fixture list than either of their relegation rivals.
