The last Tottenham Hotspur starting XI to beat Arsenal, where are they now?

2 hours ago 23

Tottenham have struggled to get one over on Arsenal in recent years, but what happened to the last starting XI to claim three points?

Tottenham Hotspur fans have not celebrated a win over their bitter rivals Arsenal in their last six outings in the Premier League.

The Gunners have won five of the last six league encounters between these two sides, with one ending in a draw when they first met in the 2023/24 season, and the shift in momentum has been difficult for Tottenham to wrestle back.

For the last time Tottenham beat Arsenal, you would have to go all the way back to the 2021/22 season when Spurs secured a 3-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium under former manager Antonio Conte.

It was a night that also saw the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium set a new record attendance. But where are the stars from that memorable day now? Let’s find out.

Tottenham 3-0 Arsenal – where the squad is now

Antonio Conte

Conte left Tottenham back in March 2023 after just 16 months in charge, following his explosive press conference after Spurs let slip a 3-1 lead at Southampton to drop points.

He returned to management in the summer of 2024 when Napoli appointed him, and he led them to their fourth Scudetto, becoming the first manager to win the Serie A title with three different clubs.

Hugo Lloris

The long-serving Tottenham captain made over 400 appearances for the club, although his minutes dropped significantly in the 2023/24 season after falling out of favour with Ange Postecoglou.

He joined MLS side Los Angeles FC ahead of the 2023/24 season, ending his 11-year stay in north London, and he went on to help them win the US Open Cup in his first year.

Davinson Sanchez

The Colombian centre-back made more than 140 appearances for Tottenham across six seasons before moving to Galatasaray in the summer of 2023, and he helped the Turkish giants win the Turkish Super Cup that same year, followed by a league and cup double the following season.

Eric Dier

Dier spent nine years at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, making nearly 300 appearances before joining Bayern Munich on loan in January 2024, a move that became permanent in the summer of 2024 after he impressed the Bundesliga side. He is now at Monaco, having moved in the summer of 2025 on a three-year deal.

Ben Davies

The Welshman joined from Swansea City in 2014, and eleven years later, he remains part of the squad and is a member of Frank’s leadership group, having signed a one-year extension in the summer, continuing his long stint at the club.

Emerson Royal

Emerson spent three years at Tottenham before moving to AC Milan in 2024, although less than a year later, he returned to Brazil to join Flamengo.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Bentancur recently signed a long-term contract after three seasons at Tottenham, and he played a key role in helping the club win the UEFA Europa League last season.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

The midfielder signed from Southampton in 2020 and went on to make 145 appearances before joining Marseille in 2024 on a loan deal that included an obligation to buy in the summer of 2025.

Ryan Sessegnon

Sessegnon joined Spurs from Fulham in 2019 and spent five years at the club before returning to Fulham in 2024, and he even scored against Tottenham in a 2-0 win for the Cottagers back in March 2025.

Dejan Kulusevski

Kulusevski remains a key figure at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium following his move in 2022. Tottenham announced back in May that he would be out for a few months after undergoing knee surgery. He remains sidelined, but he could be integrated after the international break.

Heung-min Son

Son ended his decade-long spell at Tottenham in the summer of 2025 when he joined Los Angeles FC, linking up again with former teammate Hugo Lloris, and he departed after captaining Tottenham to their first trophy in 17 years when they lifted the UEFA Europa League.

Harry Kane

Kane is Tottenham’s all time record goalscorer with 280 goals, a record he broke when he scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Manchester City in 2023.

He moved to Bayern Munich in August 2023, becoming the most expensive signing in Bundesliga history, and he won his first career trophies by lifting both the German Super Cup and the Bundesliga title last season.

Substitutes

Joe Rodon

After joining Tottenham in 2020, Rodon struggled to secure regular minutes and spent loan spells at Rennes and Leeds United before signing permanently for Leeds in the summer of 2025, where he has impressed this season.

Steven Bergwijn

Following a difficult two-year spell at Tottenham, Bergwijn returned to the Netherlands to join Ajax before moving to Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad in 2024, and he helped them secure the league title.

Lucas Moura

Lucas is best remembered for his historic second-half hat-trick against Ajax in the 2019 UEFA Champions League Semi-Final, with his stoppage-time winner sending Tottenham to their first-ever Champions League Final.

He left the club in 2023 after his contract expired, returning to Sao Paulo where he helped them win the Copa Do Brazil in 2023 and the Super Copa Do Brazil in 2024.
