Thomas Frank hails Lewis family for what they have told him about Tottenham plan

Thomas Frank has moved to highlight the role of the Lewis family at Tottenham, stressing their commitment and visibility as the club navigates a period of change at the top level.

Tottenham Hotspur have been the subject of heavy speculation in recent months, with much of it fuelled by the widespread restructuring at the boardroom level and the inevitable uncertainty that comes with such shifts.

Despite the club issuing a clear statement that it is not up for sale, talk has continued to circulate about possible takeover interest, with reports suggesting that a staggering £4.5 billion offer had been tabled in recent days.

That approach is understood to have been dismissed outright, and once more, Tottenham felt compelled to make their stance public, reaffirming that the club is not available for purchase and remains under current ownership.

When asked about the position of the Lewis family and their involvement with Tottenham, Thomas Frank explained that he has been impressed with the level of dedication they have shown since stepping into a more visible role.

Speaking to football.london, he said, “Very, very, very invested. 120% committed to the club. They really want to achieve something special.

“They want to build, want to add, and I like the phrase, building layers, because you never go straight to the top. You cannot jump five steps. That is impossible.

“So building layers is very important. I think that is also more organic and more sustainable over time. But they are very, very focused on what they can do to help the club.”

Spurs ownership visibility under the Lewis family

Vivienne Lewis and Charles Lewis have now become the faces of the ownership, regularly appearing in the directors’ box, with their presence noted at recent fixtures against Villarreal and Doncaster Rovers.

Frank has also stressed the importance of the Lewis family becoming more present at matches and around the club, particularly after years where supporters felt a sense of disconnect with ENIC.

The head coach believes this shift has been key in shaping the perception of the current regime. “If you are an owner or a leader, it is important to be visible so people can see you,” Frank said in the same interview. “So I think it is positive.”
