Thomas Frank is already being lined up by a Premier League club if Tottenham pull the plug

Thomas Frank has already been identified as a target by another Premier League club as Tottenham contemplate sacking the Dane.

It is unclear how long Frank will remain at the Tottenham hotseat, with the 52-year-old position now under serious threat after the Lilywhites’ defeat to West Ham.

Some members of the Spurs board have lost patience with the former Brentford boss and want to see the back of him.

However, it turns out that he may not have to wait for too long to return to management should Tottenham decide to part company with him.

Crystal Palace lining up Thomas Frank amidst Tottenham sack rumours

Football Insider have claimed that Crystal Palace are planning to offer Frank a chance to replace Oliver Glasner at Selhurst Park.

Oliver Glasner was expected to leave Palace in the summer, but his position may not be under immediate threat after the Austrian coach launched an attack at the Eagles hierarchy following his side’s defeat to Sunderland on Sunday.

Football Insider say that while Glasner is not expected to be sacked immediately, the South London club are identified potential replacements should they decide to pull the plug.

One of the names on their wishlist is Frank, who is seen as a ‘perfect’ fit at Selhurst Park if he is let go by Spurs.

Why Palace see Frank as an ideal fit

Football Insider says that the fact that Frank worked under similar budgetary constraints at Brentford appeals to the Eagles.

While Glasner has been complaining publicly about Palace’s sell-to-buy model, that is exactly what the Tottenham boss dealt with at West London, overseeing the departures of the likes of Ivan Toney and David Raya with little negative impact.

The publication adds that Frank is also seen as someone who would represent a ‘smoother transition’ as he prefers a counter-attacking style similar to Glasner.
