Thomas Frank has now offered a brief update regarding the injury of Tottenham Hotspur forward Dominic Solanke.
Given the length of Dominic Solanke’s absence, some Tottenham Hotspur supporters might well have forgotten that the striker remains at the club.
The Englishman has had to deal with a persistent injury issue stemming from pre-season, and what was once flagged as a minor setback has kept him sidelined for four months.
However, Solanke recently posted a cryptic image of himself in a Spurs shirt accompanied by an hourglass emoji, but a return to action has not yet materialised.

Thomas Frank delivers blunt Dominic Solanke injury update for Tottenham fans
Thomas Frank has often reiterated that he will provide a detailed update on the forward’s fitness once he is close to a return, but that has done little to prevent questions about the £65m signing from being raised in press conferences.
Ahead of the Premier League encounter with Liverpool, the manager offered a rather blunt response when pressed on Solanke’s current status.
Speaking to the official Tottenham channel regarding the progress of the striker, Frank simply said: “He is progressing forward.”
Spurs are in the market for a new forward
The manager’s response is so vague that it offers little clarity, yet Spurs have had to cope in the absence of Solanke, with Richarlison and Randal Kolo Muani tasked with leading the line.
Richarlison has stepped up to the best of his ability, scoring six goals in the league while grabbing two assists in 16 appearances, which represents the highest goal contribution from any Tottenham player this term.
However, this has not prevented the club from staying active in the transfer market, as it was confirmed earlier this week that Tottenham have their eyes on Samu Aghehowa of FC Porto.
