Thomas Frank has shed light on the Tottenham hierarchy’s efforts to bring new players through the door in the final two weeks of the transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur have made four signings so far this summer, but it is clear, based on various reports, that they are not done just yet.
The club appear to be focused on reinforcing their attack, with several sources claiming over recent days that Spurs are working on deals for Savinho and Eberechi Eze.
Frank is not one to comment on Tottenham’s transfer targets, but he has made an admission about the work that is underway to bring more players through the door.
Thomas Frank says Daniel Levy is working very hard to make Tottenham signings
Many Tottenham fans are frustrated that the club have once again left it until late in the window to address key holes in the squad, but Frank insists that he is happy with the options he has going into the new season.
The Tottenham head coach admitted that everyone at the club would like to do deals early, but insisted that it is not always possible.
When asked about the makeup of the squad and potential incomings, Frank said (via Tottenham’s official website): “I’m very happy with the squad. We have a lot of good players, as you saw the other day.
“I know Daniel [Levy], Johan, and Vinai are working night and day – and I know that for sure. They like to do deals early, but we know that is not always so easy.”
Tottenham have money to spend over the next two weeks
It was reported by BBC Sport earlier this week that Tottenham have plenty of money to spend due to a cash injection by ENIC.
The same update revealed that Frank is having a major say in Spurs’ transfer business so far this summer.
It was reported by Flashscore a few days ago that Tottenham have promised Frank that they will pursue elite-level signings in the final weeks of the transfer window.
