Thomas Frank has discussed his relationship with Fabio Paratici at Tottenham as the Italian’s name hits the headlines for all the wrong reasons again.
Paratici has been working as a consultant for Tottenham for the last two and a half years since being forced to resign from the managing director role due to his alleged involvement in Juventus’ capital gains scandal.
The Italian’s ban from football expired in July, but the consequences of the accounting scandal continue to haunt him.
On Tuesday, it emerged that Paratici has accepted an 18-month suspended prison sentence after reaching a plea bargain agreement with Italian prosecutors.

It was reported until last month that Paratici was set to return in an official role, but that has now been thrown into doubt amidst the latest developments.
Spurs are yet to announce any change to the 53-year-old’s role, and Frank has now admitted that he shares a good relationship with the former Tottenham director.
When asked about Paratici on the back of his accepting an 18-month suspended prison sentence, the Spurs head coach responded (via Football.London): “Fabio is a consultant. Of course, I speak to him. I’ve spoken to him mainly in the transfer window while he’s part of the group that works and deals with the transfers. I’ve got a good relationship with him.”
Paratici will continue working as a consultant at Spurs
According to a report in The Telegraph, Fabio Paratici will continue in his role as consultant for Tottenham despite accepting an 18-month suspended prison sentence.
The report claimed that the Italian agreed to reach the quickest possible settlement so that he could focus on his career in football.
It was even asserted that he could still join Spurs in an official role in the near future and is expected to hold conversations with the North London club over a full-time role in the coming weeks and months.
