Thomas Frank makes deadline day decision on Manor Solomon at Tottenham

2 hours ago 2

Thomas Frank has made a judgement on the future of Manor Solomon based on his first couple of weeks in Tottenham training.

Manor Solomon is one of a few Tottenham Hotspur players who have attracted interest in the past few days, with Leeds United from the Championship reportedly monitoring Solomon’s situation.

The Israeli international played a major role for Daniel Farke’s side last season, helping them secure the Championship title with a dramatic late goal against Plymouth Argyle, while also contributing ten goals and twelve assists in that title-winning season.

Rumours had it that Leeds were considering a late move for Solomon before the summer window closed, as they continue to look for ways to strengthen their attack ahead of the new campaign.

Manor Solomon is now set to remain at Tottenham

A fresh report from Kat Lucas on X now claims that Manor Solomon is set to remain at Tottenham this summer window.

It is understood that Leeds had considered a renewed move for the 25-year-old after Facundo Buonanotte’s deal collapsed, but Thomas Frank is said to have seen enough to give the Israeli winger another opportunity at Tottenham.

The winger is expected to remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the situation only likely to change if something unexpected occurs late in the day.

Lucas revealed on X: “Understand Manor Solomon is now set to stay put at Tottenham. Leeds had considered a renewed move after Buonanotte deal collapsed but Thomas Frank has seen enough to give the winger another opportunity, unless something changes late in the day.”

Spurs winger Solomon is still waiting for a breakthrough

Solomon missed the majority of Tottenham’s pre-season through injury and has only just returned to full fitness.

The 25-year-old is yet to play a competitive game for Tottenham this year, with his last appearance for the Lilywhites coming back in September 2023 when he came on as a substitute against Liverpool.

However, in Spurs‘ recent clash against Bournemouth, Thomas Frank included Solomon in his matchday squad, although he remained an unused substitute.
