Thomas Frank makes promise to Tottenham fans about his ‘crazy challenge’ in N17

Thomas Frank has made an admission about his decision to leave Brentford and the challenge that lies ahead at Tottenham.

While the Dane would have expected the increased scrutiny that comes with taking charge at a club of Tottenham’s size, privately, even he may have been surprised by the kind of criticism that has come his way over recent weeks.

Tottenham are sitting fifth in the Premier League table and are unbeaten in the Champions League, even though the Lilywhites have had to deal with an injury crisis.

Despite this, Thomas Frank has seen his substitutions being booed by Spurs fans, and over recent weeks, some in the media have questioned whether Frank is the right fit for Tottenham.

Thomas Frank admits he has a ‘crazy job’ at Tottenham

The 52-year-old has now been speaking to the Danish media about his decision to swap the West London club for the North London side.

He admitted that he and his staff managed to create a special atmosphere at Brentford, which is unlikely to be replicated anywhere, and confessed that he has ‘a crazy challenge’ ahead of him at Spurs.

Frank told TV 2 Sport: “I have repeatedly said that when we look back on our time at Brentford, it may be the best time of our football careers because the atmosphere we created together between the squad and the staff was unique.

“Right now, I have a crazy job and a crazy challenge. It’s so much head down, 24-7, 365, and just focusing on winning and moving things forward.”

Frank and Spurs players have called for better support from Spurs fans

The Tottenham boss has called for better support from the home fans during the matches, urging them to boo the side when the game is ongoing.

Guglielmo Vicario has also said that the players would like a little more help from the supporters, but those comments have not gone down well with the Spurs fans.

Unless the team strings together wins at home, the toxic atmosphere will likely not go away from the expectant home crowd.
