Thomas Frank expressed his satisfaction with his team's resilience following their gritty 2-1 victory over Leeds in the Premier League. Mohammed Kudus netted the decisive goal for Tottenham just shy of the hour mark, overturning Leeds winger Noah Okafor's equaliser after Mathys Tel had initially put Spurs ahead.
The win marked Tottenham's fourth league triumph under Frank this term and ended Leeds' year-long unbeaten home record in the league. Frank remarked: "I think if you want to build any successful team you need mentality, character, cohesion and togetherness."
He added the importance of determination across all styles of play: "No matter if you play like Inter or Barcelona or whatever style of play, you need that willingness to do everything to win, and I think we are building that more and more in the team."
The match was a lively affair with both teams creating numerous opportunities. Despite leading twice, Tottenham were pushed to the limit, with keeper Guglielmo Vicario pulling off a crucial save from Joel Piroe in the dying moments.
Having rallied to a 2-2 draw against Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League earlier in the week, Frank's squad has now suffered only one defeat in 11 outings across all competitions since he took over from Ange Postecoglou in June.
When questioned about his initial period at the helm of Spurs, Frank responded: "Yes of course I am. I think 14 points in seven. You know, that's very good."
He emphasised the significance of their away form: "So that's all it is, a start. I'm extremely happy that we now on the road have won three and (got) a draw, which I think that's part of that.
"If you want to achieve anything, you need to do that." Despite Leeds' spirited comeback, equalising through Okafor's second goal of the season and nearly taking the lead with Joe Rodon's first-half header hitting the post, Frank believed his team posed the bigger threat.
He further commented: "We created two goals and (had) all the very good and dangerous situations and chances. So I'm very happy with that."

Leeds, who last tasted defeat at home in the league against Burnley in September last year, saw their head coach Daniel Farke disagree with Frank's evaluation.
"I have to say, just many compliments to my players for this performance, because after this game, I would be normally disappointed with drawing, not even to speak about a loss," Farke said.
"We were the better side today. We were the better side in all aspects. We had more possession, we had more passes, we had more expected goals. We had more shots. We had more big chances."
Leeds, who have been undone by stoppage-time goals in recent tough matches against Fulham and Bournemouth, suffered their third league defeat of the season.
"If you always dominate games and don't win points it will be difficult," Farke added.
"But I can't just pray for results. What I can do with my lads is deliver performances and this is what we did today – but we have to take our chances."
