Thomas Frank has now provided an update on where things currently stand with James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski as they continue their recovery progress at Tottenham.
Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to have their entire squad fully fit at some point this season as Thomas Frank looks to reach his goals.
However, that could be impossible given the long-term injury that James Maddison is nursing after tearing his ACL in preseason earlier this season.
Dejan Kulusevski is another who has been out for a while, but a return this campaign is still very much on the cards for the Swede, although the timing remains unclear.

Other long-term absentees have taken positive steps in their recovery journey, with Kota Takai and Radu Dragusin already featuring in behind-closed-doors games.
Maddison was spotted out on the grass with a Spurs physio on Monday morning, and Frank has now provided a clearer indication of where the midfielder is currently at.

Speaking to Football.London, Frank described Maddison’s recovery as still being in the beginning stages and made it clear that patience will be required before he is back involved.
The Tottenham boss said: “It is very early stages. It is a long-term injury. It is good to see him out there, but it will be a long time before he is available.”

Frank also touched on Dejan Kulusevski, and while progress is being made behind the scenes, he made it known that he will only confirm the winger’s availability once he is properly ready.
As he put it, “I will confirm when he is available for the squad. There is a plan for everything (in terms of recovery).”
It is a waiting game for Tottenham as both players step forward gradually, and any progress, however little, is encouraging for Spurs supporters.
