Thomas Frank has sent a defiant message when asked about the Tottenham fans making their stance clear about his future at the club.

It appears as if Frank could be a dead man walking after Tottenham fell to yet another home defeat on Saturday, this time to a West Ham side sitting in the relegation zone.

Reports indicate that the Spurs hierarchy is now seriously weighing up Frank’s future after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat.

The supporters certainly made their feelings clear, with the Tottenham fans signing ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ to Frank after Callum Wilson’s stoppage-time winner for the Hammers.

Thomas Frank is not worried about Tottenham fans’ stance

The Tottenham head coach has said that he is not concerned about what the fans were chanting at him, insisting that he only cares about the supporters backing the team.

Frank remains defiant that he and the Spurs team will win the supporters over when they started winning matches again.

When asked how difficult it was to hear the south stand changing ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’, the 52-year-old responded (via Football.London): “Of course, I’ve probably had better times, it’s probably not the best time, of course. But I understand, I’m the man in charge. So the blame will go to me. That’s fair, no problem in that sense.

“As long as they are backing the players, doing everything they can, to support them and drive them forward, that’s what we do, and we will keep going forward.”

When asked if he feels he deserves more time, Frank responded: “If you’re not winning enough, we know you will not get enough support from the fans. But when we’re winning, it will change when we start winning again. Which we will do. I’m not in doubt of that. I think also you can look a little bit at the performances.”

Frank insists he sees positive signs from Spurs despite defeats

The Tottenham boss insisted that he still sees the players working extremely hard and fighting for every ball, despite their struggles to get results.

Frank claimed that the side is showing signs that they are close to turning a corner and asserted that the team’s performance deserved a better result against West Ham.

He added: “Let’s say the Bournemouth and the Villa and this game here, if the players stop running, or stop doing anything, or not working hard, and we are not the team that’s closest to winning, then you can say OK. But I think the team is working very hard. And I still think, and I know it sounds a little bit crazy, that we are close to something very good, than further away.

“I think you all saw the game today, we could easily have won this one 2-1. I think it’s no excuses. But also the reason we’re a little bit down to the bare bones with players. And we also need some of the offensive players to score a goal or two. All that is difficult for me to do like that and click with a finger. But I can promise that I’m sitting here, giving everything, every single day. I feel the trust from everyone and there’s only one way, we need to keep going.”
