Thomas Frank reveals why he is excited about Randal Kolo Muani’s arrival at Tottenham

Thomas Frank has admitted that he is over the moon with the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani and has explained what he expects the Frenchman to add to his Tottenham side.

Tottenham suffered their first Premier League loss under Thomas Frank on Saturday, with the Lilywhites struggling to create chances in that game.

However, the Dane will soon be boosted by two top-class attackers, with Xavi Simons sealing a move to N17 a few days ago, followed by the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani at Tottenham on transfer deadline day.

The 26-year-old has joined on a season-long loan deal from PSG, and he helps boost Spurs’ options upfront, particularly amidst the injury absence of Dominic Solanke.

Thomas Frank hails Randal Kolo Muani’s experience and versatility after Tottenham loan

The Tottenham boss now has plenty of options in his forward line, with Kolo Muani, like Xavi Simons, being capable of playing in multiple roles.

Frank stressed the France international’s versatility and his experience of playing at the highest level, remarking that the forward significantly improves the Spurs squad.

The Dane told Tottenham’s official website: “Randal is a quality player who has proven himself over a number of years, playing for big teams in the Champions League and also with good experience for the France national team.

“He’s a good age, in the prime of his career, has good qualities that will suit both us and the Premier League, and gives us a different option in the final third, being able to play out wide and through the middle. We are all excited for what Randal can add to the squad, and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Kolo Muani will score lots of goals for Spurs

Despite his struggles at PSG, Kolo Muani’s career goal contributions stats are excellent, especially for a player who has not always played as a number nine.

Spurs lost quite a few goals with the exit of Heung-min Son this summer, and there is no doubt that the Frenchman will help make up for that loss.

This is also far from an impulse signing for Tottenham, who tried unsuccessfully to hijack Kolo Muani’s loan move to Juventus back in January.
