Tottenham have sacked Thomas Frank as head coach. A home defeat to Newcastle United on Tuesday night left the Lilywhites five points above the Premier League relegation zone, with the club opting for a change after just eight months in charge.
The full-time whistle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was met with a chorus of boos from the home fans who showed their discontent as fans made their feelings clear.
The decision comes just hours after Frank addressed his future. Speaking to TNT Sports after the loss against Newcastle, Frank was asked if his job was under threat, he said: "I spoke to them [the owners] yesterday, so no.
"I understand the frustration and the easiest thing is to point at me. That's part of the job unfortunately.
"I will work day and night to turn this around but it is not just one person. There is no doubt we need to improve and I need to be part of that."
