Here's all you need to know ahead of Thomas Partey's upcoming court appearance:

Two additional charges: Partey is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court, where he is specifically set to face two additional counts of rape. These were authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in February 2026.
A fourth complainant comes forward: The latest charges facing the footballer come after a fourth woman came forward to the Metropolitan Police in August 2025. She went to the authorities with allegations of non-recent offences.
Timing of the latest allegations: The offences involving this fourth complainant are alleged to have taken place in 2020, the year in which Partey joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid. The incidents cited in Partey's previous charges are all alleged to have taken place after this date.
Allegations in full: With these new additions, Partey now faces a total of eight charges. The alleged charges involve four different women and comprise seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
Previous charges brought in 2025: Partey was originally charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving three women, with those offences alleged to have taken place between 2021 and 2022. These charges were brought in 2025.
Partey has denied allegations: The footballer has, through his legal team, consistently denied all allegations. The 32-year-old has also maintained that he has fully cooperated with the police throughout the investigation, which has been going on for several years and relates to alleged offences across a multi-year period.
Bail conditions: Partey remains on conditional bail. The terms of this permit him to continue his professional career with Spanish club Villarreal and play international football for Ghana, as long as he notifies authorities of travel and has no contact with the complainants in the case.
Upcoming trial: While Friday's hearing focuses on the new charges, a date has also been set for a full trial for the original six counts brought against Partey. This is due to begin on November 2, 2026, at Southwark Crown Court.
