Tottenham Hotspur have finally picked up a point in the Premier League and it even looked like they could find a winner against Liverpool right at the end.
Let’s take a look at the three winners and losers from the result which keeps Spurs a point above Nottingham Forest and West Ham in the Premier League table.
Richarlison’s goal handed Tottenham a draw
Richarlison was one of Tottenham’s most proactive players at Anfield and he was not far off scoring with a couple of headed efforts.
The Brazilian eventually got his goal in the closing stages of the game. It was not an overly difficult one to score, but he had to get himself in the right place at the right time.
Unfortunately, Richarlison was substituted before the final corner kick in stoppage time. Had the striker stayed on the pitch, perhaps he would have had one more chance to beat Alisson Becker with a header.
Kevin Danso was rock solid for Spurs
Tottenham managed to only concede one goal against Liverpool, which is a rarity these days and Kevin Danso was a key reason.
The defender fought hard, was good in the air and stuck to his task excellently to keep the Reds at bay for much of the game.
If Igor Tudor continues with a back four, there surely has to be a conversation about dropping one of the two main centre-halves in favour of Danso.
Djed Spence was much improved for Tottenham
It has been hard to watch Djed Spence in recent weeks, but the right-back was so much better against Liverpool.
Spence won every single one of his ground duels and made 11 defensive contributions in total, which was only two fewer than Danso.
With the World Cup now just a few months away, the 25-year-old has to bring that level of performance to prove he is good enough for Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
Onto the losers…

Guglielmo Vicario should have saved Dominik Szoboszlai’s free kick
Guglielmo Vicario was back in the starting lineup for obvious reasons, yet he pretty much fell at the first hurdle.
Archie Gray may have given away the free kick Liverpool went on to score, but the Italian should have kept it out of his net without much difficulty.
Vicario did make a very good diving save later in the first half, but he cannot continue to make the most basic errors. Brandon Austin, it may be time to dust off those gloves!
Micky van de Ven’s Tottenham spot could be up for grabs
Danso played really well against Liverpool, as mentioned above, but the same cannot be said of Micky van de Ven in recent weeks.
The pacey defender has not looked like himself since Tudor arrived at the club and his discipline in particular has gone down the drain.
It is hard to imagine either van de Ven or Cristian Romero being dropped, but this might have to happen for the greater good of Tottenham’s Premier League survival hopes.
Radu Dragusin is still no good with the ball at his feet
While Danso has made his case to be starting more regularly, the same cannot be said of Radu Dragusin after his chatoic performance at Anfield.
The 24-year-old was playing loose passes all over the place and he was lucky not to end up costing his team a point.
Dragusin’s defending was also questionable, as he won just 40 per cent of his ground duels, which gives no reason for Tudor to have confidence in his abilities.
