Tottenham add third name to manager shortlist alongside Pochettino and De Zerbi

Tottenham are already laying the groundwork for a managerial change this summer, with one highly-rated coach emerging as a serious contender behind the scenes.

Thomas Frank failed to see out his three-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur, as he was sacked just seven months into the job.

Not many complained about that departure, with Frank struggling to piece together a consistent run of results, while supporters failed to get behind him as he did not deliver the front-foot style of football they crave.

Igor Tudor has now been tasked with steadying the ship and keeping Tottenham in the Premier League. Spurs are also in the Champions League, and the former Juventus man will look to give a good account of himself in that competition.

Tudor was only appointed on an interim basis, and his contract is set to expire in June, which should allow Spurs to enter the market for a new manager.

GIVEMESPORT has now revealed that Tottenham have already decided their interim manager will leave and be replaced by a permanent appointment in the summer, even if he overachieves.

It is understood that a return to N17 for Mauricio Pochettino is a strong possibility, with the Argentine one of their top two targets, while former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi, now a free agent after leaving Marseille, is the second name under consideration.

Pochettino is currently with the United States national team and will only be available after the 2026 World Cup. He remains a fan favourite, with many Spurs supporters urging the club to bring Poch back to north London.

Spurs consider Andoni Iraola approach amid Bournemouth uncertainty

The outlet also revealed that Tottenham are expected to make an approach for Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola in the coming months.

Iraola’s contract at the Vitality Stadium is set to expire this summer and there has been no progress on an extension.

We revealed earlier this month that Iraola is considering a move to Spain to join his boyhood club Athletic Bilbao.

It is also claimed that Spurs will need to do some convincing if the Bournemouth manager is to agree to a switch to north London, given how Thomas Frank fared after making the jump from Brentford.
