Tottenham boost as three injured players return to training but two big names remain absent

Tottenham fans have received some bittersweet news on the injury front ahead of their Champions League clash against Bodo/Glimt.

Tottenham’s injury list has been slowly but surely growing at the start of the season, even though Thomas Frank has shown a willingness to rotate his squad.

While there are three long-term absentees in Radu Dragusin, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, several players are still out with niggles, much to the frustration of Frank.

However, three players have now returned to training ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Norway, but two key ones remain out of action.

Two Tottenham defenders and a forgotten midfielder are back in training

Spurs resume Champions League action on Tuesday, with a trip to the Arctic Circle to take on Bodo/Glimt being their next challenge.

Frank’s men will be hoping to make it two wins in two at the start of the league phase, but it appears that two key men remain out of action.

Journalist George Sessions has revealed that Ben Davies, Kota Takai and Yves Bissouma trained with the squad on Monday.

However, strikers Randal Kolo Munai and Dominic Solanke were not spotted with the squad, suggesting that Tuesday’s game might come too early for the pair

What Thomas Frank has said about Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani

Tottenham desperately need at least one of Solanke or Kolo Muani back, given that Richarlison’s form has dropped off after a strong start to the campaign.

Frank has admitted that Solanke’s injury is ‘tricky’ to manage, but insisted that he expects the former Bournemouth player to be back soon.

Frank has also confessed that Kolo Muani’s dead leg is not healing as quickly as Spurs had hoped, but he maintained that it is not a serious problem.
