Alasdair Gold has revealed that another young Tottenham player could follow Kota Takai out on loan in the January window.
Dominic Solanke is edging closer to full fitness, and his return will come as a major boost to Thomas Frank, who has had problems upfront this season.
The England international will compete with Richarlison and Randal Kolo Muani for the number nine role, and that may spell bad news for one forward.
Mathys Tel has not started a game for Tottenham since the start of October, and the Frenchman is now at risk of getting pushed further down the pecking order.

Tottenham may loan out Mathys Tel and a centre-back
It has been reported over recent weeks that AS Roma have identified Tel as the ideal target for them due to his ability to play on the left and lead the line.
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has now claimed that Spurs could be open to allowing the 20-year-old to head out on loan so that he can get valuable game time under his belt.
This comes after centre-back Kota Takai has also been loaned out to Borussia Monchengladbach for the rest of the season after recently returning from injury.
Why a loan move is needed for Tel
It was explained by Alasdair Gold a few days ago that while Frank sees Wilson Odobert and Mikey Moore as potential options for the left-wing role in the future, that is not the case with Tel.
He revealed that Tel is currently viewed at Spurs as something in between a left-winger and a striker.
While the forward’s ball-striking and attitude are elite, he undoubtedly needs regular football to master one position and evolve into a finished product.
