Tottenham Hotspur are considering various full-back options in the January transfer window, and one of them has had previous links with the club.
Signing at least one new full-back appears to be a priority for Tottenham Hotspur, and this is understandable considering the state of their squad.
Destiny Udogie has experienced injury struggles this season, and Ben Davies recently had to fill in on the left side of defence, despite now primarily playing as a centre-back.
The right flank is also an issue because Pedro Porro does not have an understudy, since Djed Spence usually plays on the opposite wing.

Tottenham could be given the chance to sign Wesley Franca
The solution to Tottenham’s full-back problems could soon be found because Team Talk report that Spurs could be handed the opportunity to sign Wesley Franca from Roma.
Tottenham were among three Premier League teams to show an interest in Franca when he played for Flamengo and they continue to be impressed after his strong start to life in Italy.
Intermediaries have alerted them that Wesley could become available because while Roma do not need the money, their manager wants more signings in attack. This could open up the possibility for a deal to be completed.
Wesley could play on either wing for Tottenham
Like Spence, Wesley can play on the left or on the right, and he has been operating as a wing-back at Roma, which shows how good he is going forward.
The Brazilian is, however, naturally right-footed, and he could be the player Spurs need to provide Porro with a challenge on that side.
It remains to be seen what Tottenham do with Souza in the short-term, as the 19-year-old left-back could provide support to Udogie on the left, while Spence shifts over to join Porro in the fight at right-back.
