Igor Tudor may have raised some eyebrows with his comments following Tottenham's defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League but believes he saw some promise in his squad
Tottenham boss Igor Tudor has been encouraged by what he saw in Tottenham's dressing room, despite the club's 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.
The Croatian boss has overseen three defeats in his brief tenure at the club, with Spurs now just a single point from the relegation zone.
Tudor suggested he believes more in his squad following their home defeat to the Eagles and said he saw 'interesting things' in the second half and that it 'was a different game' following Micky van de Ven's red card.
The Lilywhites had led through Dominic Solanke's effort before an Ismaila Sarr brace and a strike from Jorgen Strand Larsen sent despair into the stands in north London.
"After this game I believe in (them) more than before, maybe it sounds strange but this is it," Tudor said in his post-match interview. "I saw something in the team, I saw that there is something, even now in the dressing room after the game.
"When we will be complete and I choose the right guys, it will be good, I believe."
Asked what he had seen to offer some encouragement, Tudor claimed he'd seen the required fight to turn things around. The former Juventus boss also named four players who he expects to aid Spurs' turnaround, with some having been unavailable.

The group comprised of four defenders.
"I saw something, some good energy, some wish to do, some passion. The fight, I saw it was there," he said.
"Unfortunately, the red card changed the game, but there are still nine games to play. The players will come. Romero is coming with us, Danso was good today, Porro is totally different. We wait for Udogie. Maybe other players will come, so when we're complete it will be good."
Tudor was unwilling to accept conversations about the pressure now on his players amidst a relegation battle. "We need to stop the speak abut the pressure," he said.
"This is not a topic to speak about. I will not speak anymore about pressure."
Goalscorer Dominic Solanke also alluded to the dressing room when undertaking his post-match duties. The forward revealed a significant discussion took place in the depths of the stadium.
"We've just had a big conversation," Solanke said. "We know the position we are in is definitely not where we want to be so we need to figure out how we are going to get out of it as soon as possible.
"We know there's been difficulties but we're not in a position to make any excuses anymore. We need to do the job on the pitch. It is easy to say we want to be better but we want to be better on the pitch.
"We need to fight and realise the position we are in. We know the club is not used to being in this position so we need to understand it and understand it's not going to be easy and we need to fight every single game, every single minute, to make sure we improve."
