A new report has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur could accept a lower fee for Brennan Johnson than previously reported.
Many would have expected the Wales international to kick on this term on the back of an 18-goal season in 2024-25.
That was particularly the case since Thomas Frank tried to take Johnson to Brentford in the past, and it was assumed that the 24-year-old would suit the Dane’s system to a tee.
Instead, the former Nottingham Forest man has made just six Premier League starts this term, and his future at N17 is in major doubt.
It emerged last week that Crystal Palace are eyeing a January move for Johnson, who is seen as dispensable by the Lilywhites.

How much do Crystal Palace have to pay for Tottenham winger Brennan Johnson?
Earlier this week, TEAMtalk asserted that Spurs valued Johnson at £50m, which is slightly more than what they paid for him two-and-a-half years ago.
However, a new report in News Shopper has claimed that the winger could be allowed to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a discounted price.
The outlet confirms that the Eagles are keen to take the winger to Selhurst Park next month, with the club urgently wanting to bring an attacker through the door.
It is asserted that Spurs would be willing to let Johnson go to the South London club for just £35m.
Palace are expected to face competition for Johnson
Oliver Glasner’s side are not the only club eyeing a January deal for Tottenham’s pacy attacker.
It was claimed by journalist Dean Jones a couple of days ago that Aston Villa and Bournemouth are ready to battle Palace for Johnson’s signature.
Spurs will be hoping that a bidding war ensues between these clubs and pushes the winger’s price up.
