Tottenham Hotspur insider Paul O’Keefe has now revealed why Fabio Paratici is set to quit the Lilywhites just a few months on from being appointed as the club’s sporting director.

It appears that things are falling apart at Spurs, both on and off the pitch, with the Lilywhites about to lose one of the best footballing minds at the club.

Paratici is expected to leave Tottenham to take up a role as Fiorentina’s head of football.

Some Spurs fans are really concerned about the prospect of just Johan Lange steering the ship, and we have now found out why the Italian has decided to exit N17.

Why Fabio Paratici is choosing to leave Tottenham

On Sunday, David Ornstein revealed that Paratici will exit Spurs at the end of the current transfer window for ‘personal reasons’.

Paul O’Keefe has now expanded on what those reasons are, revealing that the 53-year-old wants to return to Italy to be closer to his wife.

Interestingly, O’Keefe also asserted that Paratici wanted Igor Tudor as interim head coach at Spurs if the club decide to part company with Thomas Frank.

It will come as little surprise that Tudor is the current Juventus manager, given Paratici’s links with the Serie A club. However, the Croatian head coach has no experience in the Premier League.

Igor Tudor revelation says a lot about the Spurs hierarchy

The fact that Tudor’s name has been discussed by the Tottenham hierarchy comes as confirmation that the club are seriously thinking about parting ways with Frank.

Despite reports suggesting that Frank will be given until the end of the season, it would appear that some members of the club’s leadership are not convinced that would be the right approach.

The Dane knows that he is now under serious pressure, especially as the unrest grows among the Tottenham fan base.
