Tottenham supporters have flocked to social media to react to reports that Chelsea and Aston Villa both made enquiries over Lucas Bergvall.
Tottenham Hotspur have several impressive youngsters, even if the majority of these top stars are not from the Spurs academy.
There is the fear that if Spurs do not turn their focus to improving the academy and ensuring that youngsters come through, they could very much miss out on the next Harry Kane, according to Tim Sherwood.
However, Tottenham’s problems do not just lie in losing players coming through the ranks, as top young talents purchased from elsewhere continue to gain traction.

Tottenham fans react as Lucas Bergvall interest emerges
The latest to have caught the eye of sides in Europe is Lucas Bergvall, with David Ornstein reporting that the Tottenham star was on the radar of Chelsea and Aston Villa.
It is understood that during the just-concluded winter window, Tottenham rebuffed enquiries from the two Premier League sides.
Tottenham fans have now given their reaction to the latest update, and many believe the interest stems from the 20-year-old not being managed well by Thomas Frank.
One fan said, “What happens when you have a horrible fanbase and then a terrible manager deliberately misprofiling him, this guy has the highest ceiling in the squad.”
Another added: “Understandable that big clubs will want one of our best players and the best CM itw in the coming years.”
One more stated: “The audacity from Villa thinking they can pull off Bergvall away from Tottenham.”
A fan speculated that the Swede will be ideal for Mauricio Pochettino: “He will be Poch number 1 midfielder.” Another fan commented: “They are not big enough to take him from us.” While a third said: “Thomas Frank, I’ll never forgive you.”
However, one Tottenham supporter was open to a Lucas Bergvall sale, saying: “£50m and he’s yours.”
Spurs will be hoping Igor Tudor can bring the best out of Bergvall
Bergvall has since picked up an injury and is set to spend an extended period on the sidelines for Tottenham.
He never quite hit the levels he performed at during the second half of his debut season, with Frank often deploying him out wide, while a few injury knocks did not allow him to have a consistent run of games.
Bergvall is certainly one with immense potential, but that talent needs to be nurtured, and in the last few months, the environment at Tottenham has clearly failed to bring out the best in the midfielder.
Some may argue that Bergvall is actually the perfect midfielder to develop under a certain Mr Mauricio Pochettino. Watch this space…
