Tottenham fans reveal what new £100m cash injection should be spent on immediately

Tottenham supporters are calling for a major statement signing following a fresh £100 million investment into the club, with many urging the board to bring in one player in particular.

It does feel like the start of a new era at Tottenham Hotspur, with changes taking place both on and off the pitch at N17.

Daniel Levy has since departed as chairman, and his exit did spark a wave of interest from potential suitors in the club, but Tottenham have maintained its stance that the club is not for sale.

ENIC have now gone on to make a statement of intent ahead of the January transfer window by investing £100 million into Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs fans call for £100m investment to be spent on transfer target Antoine Semenyo

The club’s ownership has long been criticised for ignoring matters on the pitch, and with a fresh cash injection, the first since 2022, it does appear to be a step in the right direction.

Spurs fans have not held back since hearing the latest report, with many now calling for the money to be spent on one big-name player.

Reacting to the news, one fan said: “BRING HIM!” alongside a picture of Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo. Another added: “Wire it straight to Bournemouth please lads, Semenyo and Kudus is unplayable.”

A third supporter claimed: “Where most of that needs to go on,” also posting an image of Semenyo, while another fan urged: “Kane and Semenyo, get it done!” before another concluded: “Time to get Semenyo.”

We are pleased to announce that our majority shareholder, the Lewis family trust, has, through ENIC Sports & Development Holdings Ltd (“ENIC”), injected £100 million of new capital into the Club.

Spurs were linked with Antoine Semenyo in the just-concluded summer window but opted against signing him as they deemed Bournemouth’s demands of £70 million excessive.

Semenyo later put pen to paper, extending his contract with Bournemouth until 2030, which marked the end of any further transfer speculation.

Of course, with the Ghana international now ripping up the Premier League, having scored six goals in the league while grabbing three assists, his market value is set to only increase.

Chelsea are now reported to have entered the race to land Semenyo, with reports suggesting the Blues are preparing a bid in the region of £77 million (€90 million), providing Spurs with serious competition for the wide man.
