Eberechi Eze’s actions after the final whistle against Chelsea will have left an impression on Crystal Palace and Tottenham fans alike.
Eberechi Eze starting for Crystal Palace in their Premier League opener against Chelsea would have been music to the ears of Palace fans, while Tottenham supporters would have been a little worried.
Tottenham maintain interest in the 27-year-old, with reports stating that personal terms have been agreed with Eze as the north London club looks to strengthen at number ten.
Eze himself is keen on a move to Tottenham, but he has still acted professionally, turning up for Palace’s opener against Chelsea instead of forcing a move out of the club.
Eze featured for 83 minutes against Chelsea, but an emotional moment with the Palace faithful after full-time has now caught the eye.
Following the full-time whistle, while every player had gone off the pitch, Eze remained out on the turf, taking time to clap and pray in front of the Palace support, who responded by singing his song with real passion.

As the fans serenaded him, Daniel Munoz and Maxence Lacroix eventually joined him, adding to a heartfelt moment that underlined just how much he means to the Selhurst Park faithful.
It remains to be seen if that was Eze waving goodbye to the Palace supporters, with whom he has shared a lot of fond memories.
Spurs desperately need creativity in midfield
The versatile midfielder, who hit double figures of goals and assists last term, looked to have begun the new season similarly when he gave Crystal Palace the lead against the Blues, but his strike was ruled out after a VAR check.
Tottenham remain light in the attacking midfield position, given injuries to Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison, who are both set to miss significant parts of the season.
Spurs looked to address their lack of depth in that area of the pitch earlier in the summer window with a move for Morgan Gibbs-White, but that fell through after the Nottingham Forest man extended his stay at the City Ground.
Eze has now been identified as an alternative, and Tottenham will be hoping they can agree on a deal with Palace to take their main man before the window closes.
