Xavi Simons is set to be Tottenham’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window, but a journalist is convinced that he will not be the last.
According to various reports, Simons is on his way to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the North London club struck an agreement with RB Leipzig in the early hours of Friday morning.
Some sources indicate that Simons has agreed a five-year contract with Spurs with an option of a further two-year extension.
This development has put Tottenham Hotspur fans on cloud nine ahead of the final days of the transfer window, and they have just been handed an even more exciting update.
Tottenham expected to complete more signings before the transfer deadline
Journalist Dean Jones has now also confirmed that Tottenham have reached a full breakthrough on Simons. He explained that over the last two days, Spurs convinced the attacking midfielder to come to N17 instead of waiting for Chelsea.
Even more interesting, Jones adds that the Netherlands international will not be Tottenham’s last signing of the summer window, with the club still wanting to do more business in the final three days.

Spurs are expected to sign a winger
It has been widely reported over the last week that Tottenham also want to add a winger to their squad before the window slams shut.
Until a couple of days ago, it was reported that Spurs remain hopeful of completing a late deal for Man City star Savinho.
However, according to various reports, Man City are now blocking Savinho’s exit since Pep Guardiola’s men are not making progress in their efforts to land Rodrygo.
