Tottenham fans will love Dominic Solanke’s long-awaited positive injury update

1 hour ago 20

Dominic Solanke has taken a huge step in his road back from injury, with the Tottenham striker posting a funny update on social media.

Over the last 12 months, Spurs fans have been left extremely frustrated with how the return dates for injured players keep getting pushed back despite what seem like innocuous injuries at first.

It happened to Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven last term, while Dejan Kulusevski’s return date has been continuously pushed back this season.

The latest victim is Dominic Solanke, who was initially expected to return during the November international break after belatedly having ankle surgery in September.

Huge boost for Tottenham as Dominic Solanke posts update

What has added to the frustration of the supporters is that, over recent weeks, Frank has refused to put a timeline on Solanke’s return, simply stating that he will give an update on the striker when he is fit to return.

However, after what feels like an eternity, it appears that the England international is finally on the cusp of returning to action.

Solanke took to Instagram stories to post a clip of himself back in outdoor training, and he poked fun at the situation by adding the caption ‘still alive’.

Spurs’ injury situation is getting better

More good news could be around the corner for Spurs, with reports indicating that Dejan Kulusevski and Destiny Udogie are also set to return to action in January.

Meanwhile, Kota Takai has now fully recovered, with the Japanese international being named in the matchday squad at Selhurst Park.

However, James Maddison still has a long way to go in his rehabilitation, with the Spurs attacking midfielder only expected to return towards the end of the campaign.
