Tottenham forced into change moments before Aston Villa clash in cruel injury blow

Tottenham have confirmed that Cristian Romero will miss this afternoon's game against Aston Villa after suffering an injury during the warm-up.

Kevin Danso will replace Romero in the starting line-up and partner Micky van de Ven in central defence.

Van de Ven, meanwhile, will captain the side in Romero's absence.

Romero is said to have felt discomfort while warming up and headed straight down the tunnel.
