Tottenham get huge triple injury boost for Atletico Madrid but two stars train separately

1 hour ago 2

Igor Tudor has been given a huge boost ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's clash against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League last-16. The Lilywhites must overcome a three-goal deficit when they lock horns with Diego Simeone's side on Wednesday night if they are to progress to the next round.

Atletico banked a 5-2 aggregate lead over Spurs in the first leg last week. The Spanish giants waltzed away victorious, but they squandered a four-goal advantage, giving the north Londoners a glimpse of hope ahead of the return fixture.

Although Atletico may still fancy their chances, Tudor looks set to welcome some big names back to the matchday squad. On Tuesday morning, Lucas Bergvall, Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie returned to action at Hotspur Way.

Joao Palhinha and James Maddison trained separately from the group, while Richarlison worked alone in the gym.
