Tottenham have a player who is just as good at carrying the ball as Jeremy Doku

One Tottenham star is the joint top across the Premier League alongside a Man City player for a key attacking metric this season.

Spurs have underwhelmed going forward this season, especially at home, with the Lilywhites winless at N17 since the day of the Premier League season.

However, one Tottenham attacker has played his heart out in every game he has played and has arguably even single-handedly carried Thomas Frank’s side going forward.

That is the opinion of some pundits, who have said that Spurs are over-reliant on Mohammed Kudus in attack, and the numbers show just why that is the case.

Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus leads the Premier League in key stat

The Premier League’s website have revealed that the Spurs summer signing has outperformed all of his peers across the division in one metric.

It is revealed that Kudus has the joint most dribbles in the Premier League this season with 34, alongside in-form Man City star Jeremy Doku.

That is even more impressive when considering that the Ghana international has played one less game than the Belgian, but the Tottenham man has five assists to his name compared to Doku’s three.

One stat suggests Spurs are not making the best use of Kudus

The Premier League also provide the list of players with the most carries into the opposition box, and unsurprisingly, that list has many of the same names, with Doku topping it with 72.

However, interestingly, Kudus does not feature in the top 10 when it comes to carries into the opposition box.

That suggests that despite the former West Ham man being elite at dribbling, he is doing most of his good work far away from goal and is thus not creating as many chances as he should.
