A midfielder whom Tottenham Hotspur explored a move for in January is now assessing his options ahead of a big decision on his future.
Spurs strengthened their midfield through the addition of Conor Gallagher in January, but he was not the only midfielder they showed interest in during the window.
It was revealed that Tottenham had explored a move for a Liverpool man, who has started 10 of Liverpool’s 25 league games this season.
The player in question is Curtis Jones, who was allegedly considering leaving Anfield in search of regular game time in January, and there is now a fresh update over the midfielder’s future.

Curtis Jones will demand assurances from Liverpool amidst Tottenham interest
TEAMtalk have now asserted that Tottenham Hotspur did hold conversations with the 25-year-old before ultimately deciding to push ahead with a move for Gallagher last month.
The outlet explains that Jones is seen as ‘an important member’ of Arne Slot’s squad, which is why he was not let go in January.
The midfielder has 16 months left on his contract and has been discussing a new deal with his boyhood club, but those talks have now stalled.
It is revealed that the 25-year-old ‘will demand firm assurances’ from Liverpool over his long-term future before deciding his next step, amid the growing interest in his services.
Spurs could battle six other clubs for Jones’ signature
TEAMtalk reveal that Inter Milan held talks over a potential deal for the Liverpool man in January and remain admirers of the player.
Jones has not yet shut the door regarding a switch to the San Siro as he assesses his next step.
The report reveals that Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest have also enquired about the England international, while RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are keeping an eye on his situation.
