Wolves are preparing for decisive talks over one of their brightest young talents, with Tottenham Hotspur among a host of clubs circling ahead of the summer window.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League status is not yet secure, although their fate remains in their own hands, with just a single point separating them from 18th place.
If Tottenham collect four more points than either Nottingham Forest or West Ham United, they will avoid relegation and the serious consequences that come with it.
For Wolves, however, the situation looks far more precarious. They sit bottom in 20th place and are 13 points adrift of safety, leaving relegation a real possibility despite an upturn in form.

Tottenham join Liverpool and Manchester United in Mateus Mane transfer chase
New head coach Rob Edwards has made an immediate impact during his spell in charge, and there is confidence he can guide Wolves back to the Premier League should they drop into the Championship.
But keeping hold of one of his key assets may prove far more difficult should Wolves go down. TeamTalk reports that Wolves hope to retain teenage sensation Mateus Mane even if the club suffer relegation.
The 18-year-old has been a revelation under Edwards, bringing much-needed quality and creativity to the midfield of the side currently sitting bottom of the table.
It is understood that Mane has attracted interest from Tottenham, who are also battling to preserve their Premier League status. Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are also said to be monitoring the youngster.
Spurs face competition as Wolves prepare new Mateus Mane contract talks
Interest is not confined to England, with Real Madrid also reported to be tracking the teenager. The Spanish side’s pursuit is said to form part of a wider strategy focused on emerging English talent.
Wolves, however, are not prepared to lose Mane without a fight. Edwards’ side are planning to offer an improved contract to the 18-year-old, who only signed a new deal in September.
The club want him to continue his development at Molineux and believes he will be central to any promotion push next season.
Whether he remains there is uncertain, yet with Tottenham among the admirers, the coming months promise to be decisive.
