Tottenham keeping tabs on Premier League striker with 19 G/A last season

Tottenham could be preparing to make a surprise move for a Premier League forwards, as they explore cost-effective ways to bolster their frontline before the window shuts.

Despite constant links to various forwards, Tottenham Hotspur are yet to secure a recognised number nine, with just three weeks remaining in the summer transfer window.

Dominic Solanke has been absent throughout pre-season and is yet to make an appearance, casting doubt over his fitness for the club’s upcoming Super Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Richarlison remains the current backup, but the Brazilian’s persistent injury issues offer little reassurance heading into the 2025/26 campaign, raising alarm over Spurs’ depth in attack.

Tottenham consider Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson

Tottenham’s hunt for a striker is ongoing, and according to a new report from the Telegraph, the club could join the race for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson.

While Newcastle United are currently seen as the frontrunners to sign Jackson, that stance could change rapidly if Tottenham decide to cash in on Richarlison before the window closes.

It is believed that Chelsea are open to selling Jackson, with the player potentially being available for a price that could represent good value in this market, and Spurs are monitoring the situation closely.

Spurs face competition from Juventus and AC Milan for Jackson

Tottenham, however, are not alone in their admiration of Nicolas Jackson, with Italian heavyweights Juventus and AC Milan also keeping a close eye on the forward’s status at Chelsea.

Both clubs are understood to be monitoring how the situation evolves, particularly as they assess late-window opportunities to strengthen their forward lines.

There is no question that Tottenham need further reinforcements this summer, and adding another versatile attacking option could go a long way in helping Thomas Frank address key depth issues within the squad.
