Tottenham is weighing up a move for Raheem Sterling after his Chelsea contract was mutually terminated early, allowing him the freedom to explore his options.
The former Liverpool and Manchester City player has experienced a marked decline in recent years, with the winger sidelined in London. He hasn't featured since his loan spell at Arsenal last season, but is now attracting interest from several different clubs.
Tottenham is among those contemplating a move for the England international, who has netted 123 Premier League goals throughout his career. Despite his links with Chelsea and Arsenal - two of Tottenham's fierce London rivals - Spurs remain keen on a transfer.

Sterling has been unable to replicate the form that established him as one of the crucial attacking threats for Pep Guardiola's Manchester City during the early stages of the manager's reign.
His Chelsea spell proved disappointing, even before he was sidelined.
But Tottenham is in need of reinforcements up front following injuries to the likes of Richarlison and Dominic Solanke, combined with the patchy form of Randal Kolo Muani and Mathys Tel.

Sterling would need to prove his worth, having not featured in the Premier League for 250 days.
Sterling was linked with the likes of Fulham during the summer, but a transfer never came to fruition. His preference is to stay in London despite interest from abroad.
Among the European clubs mulling over an approach for Sterling are Napoli and Juventus.
Multiple clubs had expressed interest in taking Sterling on loan whilst he was at Chelsea, but the player made it known he favored a permanent transfer to provide the security needed to rejuvenate his career.
He will now secure that stability, regardless of his destination, with the 31-year-old last representing England in 2022.
Chelsea's official statement on the player's departure said: "Raheem Sterling has today departed Chelsea Football Club by mutual agreement, bringing to an end three-and-a-half seasons as our player, having signed in the summer of 2022 when he was transferred from Manchester City.
"We thank Raheem for the contribution he made while a Chelsea player and wish him well for the next stage in his career."
Sterling previously earned the FWA Footballer of the Year accolade in 2019, the same year he also claimed the PFA Young Player of the Year award and secured a place in the Team of the Year.
