Tottenham Hotspur have already made contact with a title-winning coach, who is viewed internally as an attractive option to replace Thomas Frank.
Based on reports over the last 48 hours, it appears as if the defeat to West Ham on Saturday and the subsequent reaction from Tottenham fans may prove the final straw for Frank. However, the Spurs boss will at least be in charge against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
At least one member of Spurs’ senior executive board wants to see the back of Frank as results show no signs of improving.
It has now emerged that Tottenham Hotspur are already reaching out to managerial candidates as they accelerate the process to replace the 52-year-old.

According to Fichajes, Xavi Hernandes has received ‘direct contacts’ from Tottenham about taking over as the club’s head coach.
The report says that Frank’s future at Spurs ‘hangs by a thread’ and that Xavi’s name is ‘gaining traction’ at the North London club, who wants a medium to long-term project with a coach who can develop young talent.
There is said to be internal consensus at Spurs that Xavi is an ambitious choice, whose appointment would inject enthusiasm into the club.
While his lack of experience in the Premier League is seen as a risk, his playing style and strong personality are seen as a good fit for a club like Tottenham, who are seeking ‘structural change’.
Spurs facing competition from Premier League rivals for Xavi
Fichajes say that Tottenham are not the only ones after Xavi, with Man United also already having made a move for the former Barca head coach.
While Man United have opted to appoint Michael Carrick until the end of the season, their board believe that they need a coach with a strong reputation and experience managing high-level dressing rooms, and have thus turned to the 45-year-old.
However, Xavi has not made any final decision on his next destination, with the Spaniard prioritising ‘institutional stability, and the full confidence of the board’ before accepting any job.
