Tottenham Hotspur have discovered that a 26-year-old Serie A star they admire is also wanted by two Premier League rivals.

There continues to be plenty of speculation over the goalkeeping situation at Tottenham, amidst Guglielmo Vicario’s errors this season.

The Tottenham number one is being linked with a return to Italy, and some sources have said that Vicario has already had conversations with Inter Milan regarding a transfer.

It emerged a couple of days ago that the Lilywhites may turn to AS Roma’s number one as a replacement for Vicario.

Tottenham battling Man United and Chelsea for AS Roma shot-stopper Mile Svilar

The player reported to be in Tottenham Hotspur’s sights is Mile Svilar, who has developed into one of the most complete goalkeepers in Serie A.

However, a new report from CaughtOffside has now claimed that Svilar is also attracting interest from both Chelsea and Man United.

The Blues want to upgrade on Robert Sanchez and have set their sights on the Roma number one. Meanwhile, Man United are also in the market for a new first-choice goalkeeper and have set their sights on the 26-year-old.

However, the Serie A club are under no pressure to sell and are demanding a huge fee for the Svilar.

Roma’s asking price for Mile Svilar is an issue for Premier League clubs

With the Serbian international contract until 2030 at Stadio Olimpico, it is revealed that Roma are demanding €60m (£52m) for his services.

CaughtOffside say that this price tag makes a move to Stamford Bridge extremely unlikely for Svilar, given the West London club’s FFP restrictions.

It also complicates matters for Man United, who are thought to be prioritising additions in midfield and in defence during the current transfer window.
