Tottenham Hotspur are targeting an Atalanta starlet, but the Serie A club have other ideas ahead of the summer window.

According to reports, Tottenham are plotting a major summer rebuild if they stay up in the Premier League.

There could be some high-profile exits from Spurs in the summer, but the squad may also lose an experienced squad player.

Ben Davies, who is out with a fractured ankle at the moment, sees his current deal run out in June, and it appears that Tottenham have identified a teenager who may be able to take the Welshman’s place in the squad.

Atalanta not willing to sell Tottenham target Honest Ahanor

According to reports over recent days, Tottenham are fans of Atalanta’s Honest Ahanor, who at 18 years of age, is turning a lot of heads in Serie A.

Although a centre-back by trade, the youngster has also impressed at left-back and left wing-back for Atlanta this season, and according to a report in CaughtOffside, he is generating plenty of interest from the Premier League.

The report says that the Italian’s ability to overlap, deliver accurate crosses and recover quickly in transition has made him a sought-after player.

However, the outlet adds that Atalanta view Ahanor as ‘untouchable’ and prefer to keep him in Bergamo for at least another season.

Spurs’ London rivals weighing up offer for Ahanor

CaughtOffside reveal that scouts from Arsenal and Chelsea have watched the versatile defender repeatedly over the last few months, while Man City are also fans of the youngster.

In fact, it is revealed that City and Arsenal are not put off by Atalanta’s stance and are evaluating presenting €35m (£30.6m) offers for the youngster.

Additionally, Chelsea are contemplating pursuing a structured deal, involving a loan spell for the teenager before integrating him into their first-team.

It was previously reported that Manchester United, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Atletico Madrid could also challenge Spurs for Ahnour in the summer.
