Tottenham have confirmed a late swoop in the transfer window as Randal Kolo Muani joins the club, after snubbing Spurs eight months ago.
So far this summer window, Tottenham Hotspur have completed the permanent signing of three players, with Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus and Kota Takai all added to the squad.
Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel, who initially joined on loan in the winter, also had their deals made permanent, while Joao Palhinha arrived on loan as Spurs sought to bolster their midfield.
With only a few hours left before the British summer window slams shut, Tottenham are not finished strengthening their squad, and they have now wrapped up another deal that adds further depth.
Tottenham confirm Randal Kolo Muani transfer from PSG
After several hours of talks and enquiries, Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed the signing of Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, with the forward completing a loan move to north London and will wear the number 39 shirt.
The 26-year-old arrives on a temporary basis for the 2025/26 season, with no option or obligation for Spurs to make the transfer permanent once the loan expires.
Tottenham had shown strong interest in Muani during the winter window under former boss Ange Postecoglou, but at the time, the French striker opted for a short spell at Juventus instead.
Now, with six months gone, Spurs have finally secured his signature despite further interest from the Italian side.
Kolo Muani had a solid spell in Italy last season, with the forward scoring eight goals in 16 Serie A appearances.
Kolo Muani move adds vital depth for Spurs
The signing of Muani could prove a shrewd piece of business for Tottenham, especially with concerns over Dominic Solanke’s ankle injury, which may leave Frank short of firepower in attack if the issue proves more serious than first expected.
Reports suggest Solanke might require surgery, potentially ruling him out for longer than the two weeks Thomas Frank had initially anticipated, which only underlines the importance of securing another option in the forward line.
The Europa League winners are preparing to compete in the UEFA Champions League, and much of their summer business has focused on players with experience at the very top level.
Muani fits that profile, having featured in the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, and his arrival ensures Frank has another proven option as Spurs aim to compete on all fronts this campaign.
