Tottenham finally won a Premier League game in 2026 as they came away with a 1-0 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon and here are our player ratings.
Spurs went to Molineux looking to put the pressure on West Ham who were taking on Everton at the same time back in London. Roberto De Zerbi was without left-back Destiny Udogie, who picked up a muscle injury in the draw with Brighton, and Djed Spence came into the starting line-up looking to press his England World Cup claims.
That was the only change De Zerbi made from the draw with in-form Brighton, with Randal Kolo Muani keeping his place on the right with Xavi Simons on the left and Conor Gallagher as the number 10 behind Dominic Solanke.
Wolves sat back in the first half and Tottenham struggled to break them down despite having most of the ball with 68.9% of the possession. The visitors then lost Solanke 38 minutes in with what looked like a hamstring injury to keep up their miserable injury record this season with De Zerbi losing four players in his first three matches.
In front of the 3,000 travelling Spurs fans, Joao Palhinha finally found a breakthrough. A corner in the box fell for Richarlison and his effort was squirming wide before the midfielder slid the ball into the net.
It required an incredible last gasp flying save from Antonin Kinsky from Joao Gomes to keep the three points heading back to London, where West Ham beat Everton to keep Spurs in the drop zone but still two points behind their rivals.

Here are our Spurs player ratings:
Antonin Kinsky
Made a big dash and dive to stop Armstrong getting through after the hour mark. Was solid with everything he did and then came that huge last-gasp flying save to keep the three points. 9
Pedro Porro
Struggled to make an impact in the first half but played a terrific pass to Xavi early in the second half for an opportunity. Battled away late on. 6
Kevin Danso
Had one iffy moment in the second half when Kinsky bailed him out but otherwise did well with most of what came his way. 7
Micky van de Ven
Very little got past him down his side as he was often covering for Spence's runs as well. 8
Djed Spence
Covered plenty of grass down the flank but offered little going forward. 6
Rodrigo Bentancur
Spurs' best player in the first half and they needed him throughout the whole game with his improving fitness. 8
Yves Bissouma
Tried to move the ball quickly and took a big hit late in the half with a lunging tackle by Andre. Didn't do much wrong defensively but couldn't offer much in the other direction. 6
Randal Kolo Muani
Powered an early shot wide of the right-hand post. Offered very little else, with some underhit passes, and was hooked at half-time. 3
Conor Gallagher
Gave everything he had as he covered most of the pitch. Didn't offer much going forward though as the number 10 in another energetic display. 6
Xavi Simons
Struggled to create in the first half. Ran into the box early in the second period on to Porro's pass but fired over under pressure. Then went down under a challenge soon after at the byline. Tried to run it off, collapsed, then seemed to be saying he wanted to come on again but was taken off on a stretcher. 5
Dominic Solanke
Lasted only 38 minutes before having to come off with an injury which looked to be his hamstring. Hadn't offered much before that other than an early push on him in the Wolves box that VAR looked at briefly. 4
Subs
Richarlison
Fought away and will end up getting the assist for his squirmed shot heading wide. 5
Mathys Tel
Came on for the second period and caused some problems for Wolves down that flank. Far more than Kolo Muani anyway. 6
Lucas Bergvall
An energetic cameo albeit without much quality on the ball. 5
Joao Palhinha
An unlikely match-winner but he'll take it. In the right place at the right time. Fought for everything in midfield before and after that. 8
Radu Dragusin
Made a couple of important headers in added time. N/A
