Tottenham could soon find themselves in the middle of a January transfer window tug of war between two Premier League rivals.
Spurs were not able to offload Yves Bissouma in the summer despite the Mali international having just a year left in his contract.
Bissouma’s proposed move to Galatasaray and Fenerbahce fell through due to his fitness issues, with the midfielder thus looking set to stay until January.
The midfielder is currently sidelined with an injury, and a new report says that clubs are already circling over the 28-year-old ahead of the January window.
West Ham and Everton are eyeing a January move for Yves Bissouma
This update comes from Football Insider, who say that the former Brighton man will stay put at N17 for the time being and will hope to seal a move away from the club in January.
It is revealed that West Ham and Everton both expressed an interest in Bissouma in the summer, and both clubs are ready to reignite their interest in January.
The Hammers and the Toffees may look to complete a cut-price deal for the experienced midfielder, who, according to this update, seems certain to leave the North London club when the transfer market reopens.
Thomas Frank will not freeze out Bissouma at Tottenham
The Malian is yet to play a single minute this season and there has been no recent official communication from the club about the extent of his injury.
Thomas Frank has hinted that Bissouma is part of his plans and admitted that he does not expect any more players to leave the club this summer.
However, Bissouma has been left out of Tottenham’s Champions League squad, and with Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Sarr, Joao Palhinha, Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray ahead of Bissouma in the pecking order, it is difficult to see a way back for the 28-year-old at Spurs.
