Tottenham Hotspur turn their attention to a massive Premier League clash this weekend, with Thomas Frank hoping that a clear midweek schedule will provide the platform for a vital result against Liverpool. Let’s take a look at our predicted Tottenham XI to face the Reds.
Attention is set to turn to the weekend in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur, who have had the midweek off following a lack of Carabao Cup involvement.
Thomas Frank will be hoping the seven-day rest will be enough time for his players to reset as they gear up to take on defending champions Liverpool.
It is a tough ask nonetheless, but victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will go a long way in easing some of the pressure on the Dane, who is desperate to avoid his side slipping further down the table.

Tottenham predicted XI vs Liverpool
Goalkeeper – Guglielmo Vicario: Two mistakes in the clash against Nottingham Forest, to add to a couple of others earlier this season is enough reason for the Italian to be dropped, but we do not expect that on Saturday.
Right-back – Pedro Porro: The Tottenham full-back was slammed by Martin O’Neill for his apology following the defeat to Nottingham Forest, with the former Aston Villa manager urging him to do the talking on the pitch, and Spurs fans will be hoping for just that with an improved display from Pedro Porro against Liverpool.
Centre-back – Cristian Romero: Thomas Frank will not be aiming to change his partnership at the back as Spurs are coming up against an in-form Hugo Ekitike.
Centre-back – Micky van de Ven: The Dutchman should line up alongside Cristian Romero at the weekend, as his pace could come in handy against the Liverpool attack.
Left-back – Djed Spence: Destiny Udogie remains out, and Djed Spence should be the left-back of choice, but Frank took him off for Ben Davies against Nottingham Forest, showing that his place might not be entirely nailed on, although we expect Spence to start from the off here.
Pivot midfielder – Joao Palhinha: The Portuguese midfielder has not been as nailed on as he was when he initially joined, with Frank rotating the middle of the park a lot more of late, but we expect him to start here.
Pivot midfielder – Rodrigo Bentancur: Spurs fans might not love it, but the weekend could see the return of the Rodrigo Bentancur and Joao Palhinha partnership.
Centre midfielder – Xavi Simons: The Dutchman looked to have found some form in recent matches, but he struggled against Nottingham Forest. Nevertheless, he remains the creative outlet for Spurs, and with the game coming at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Simons could play in the number ten role.
Right winger – Mohammed Kudus: The Ghanaian had his worst game yet last weekend and will be eager to make amends against Liverpool; he should continue on the right.
Striker – Richarlison: The Brazil international might not be the most popular player amongst Tottenham fans, but statistically, he is the best when it comes to putting the ball in the back of the net, having scored six goals, which is the most of any Tottenham attacker in the Premier League.
Left winger – Brennan Johnson: The Welshman has found game time hard to come by, and that has led to speculation about his future, with Crystal Palace rumoured to be interested in Johnson, but Saturday could see him earn a rare start for Spurs.
